WatchStack | Notion

A community-building, change-making, movement-advancing event format where participants come together to watch a pre-recorded video of a talk about something relevant (usually TED talks, but can be talks from any source) and then engage in a multilogue about the content.

WatchStack provides a platform for exchanging ideas, sharing insights, and fostering connections among participants.

How WatchStack Works

WATCH: After brief welcoming & house keeping, WatchStack begins with the screening of a TED talk (or TEDx or other similar style talk 8-20 minutes in length).

STACK: Following the screening, participants engage in a structured & facilitated discussion or conversation. This is primarily intended to give the audience an opportunity to engage with the contents of the talk by sharing their thoughts and experiences related to the topic, and explore different perspectives.

When and Where WatchStack Happens

WHEN: I will be hosting these events every 2nd Tuesdays (online) starting July 8th and 4th Wednesdays (in Asheville) starting July 23 2025. arrive at 530pm, will start with announcements at 545pm and then welcoming, announcements, and start of the video between 555pm and 605pm. We will wrap by 7pm! updated June 27, 2025
bonus: Depending on attendance we can decide about doing something special on the 5th Wednesdays when they happen!

WHERE: 2nd Tuesdays will be in RP1.com the minimum you need is a computer with a standard browser and a working microphone. however, if you want to experience this in VR, you can go to this same url in your headset’s browser!

WHERE: 4th Wednesdays will be hosting at a yettobedeterminedlocation in Asheville! The studio WAS located at the RAMP Studios, 821 Riverside Dr. 28801

FAQs

How do I RSVP? this is a no RSVP event right now… bring yourself and show up in full!
Will our facilitated discussion/conversation be recorded? during WatchStacks we celebrate the the powerful and ephemeral nature of presence. you will be encouraged to turn off your phones while we are in the space. that said you are welcome to bring paper and pens for making notes.
